Hadrian’s Wall Trail Challenge – MNDA Fundraiser
Ever since the concept of de Lisle FP arose, there has been a desire to use the business as a means to help the less fortunate. Since launching we have already made meaningful contributions to the Ukrainian crisis, Turkish earthquake crisis, Campaign Against Living Miserably as well as smaller donations to a variety of others charities; locally, nationally and internationally.
With the business more established and in our second year of trading, we are delighted to announce our first charity fundraiser will be for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA), in memory of my friend Mike Crisp who passed away in 2021. Mike was an inspiration to anyone who knew him and I’m honoured to raise money in the memory of someone with so much class, dignity and good humour.
No doubt you will be familiar with this cruel disease, whether it is with your own friends, family or well known celebrities such as Doddie Wier and Rob Burrow. By donating money to MNDA you will be helping fund research, improve care and provide support for people with MND, their families and carers. The ultimate hope is this money helps achieve the realistic aim of a world free of MND.
So, as a suitable challenge when asking you to part with your hard earned money, myself, my wife Lisa, Sarah and her husband Craig will be tackling the Hadrian’s Wall Trail 3 day Challenge on 22nd September this year. The phrases ‘tough’ and ‘strenuous’ feature prominently!
