South Downs Charity Challenge Completed!

Despite protesting knees, creaking backs and more than a few emerging blisters, our small but determined team smashed the 26.2 mile walk from Eastbourne to Brighton in aid of the wonderful Friends of the Cheltenham Samaritans.
Coffee stops were essential, the Seven Sisters cliffs were spectacular but punishing, and the final push through the crowds of Brighton tested every ounce of willpower. But crossing that finish line made every aching muscle worthwhile!
We completed it in 8.5 hours of walking time - followed by a much-needed bar visit and a dip in the sea for a few of the team!
Thank you so much to everyone who has donated and for all the moral support. We've raised an outstanding £5,780 for this vital 24/7 crisis support service. Special thanks also to the weather gods who saved particularly hot days for the day before and after!
